Barleygrass

A mixture mainly composed of legumes which, when combined with cereal, provide a perfect nutritional mix with high energy value and a good starch content. When rotated before maize sowing, it leaves the soil rich in nitrogen and limits parasitic attacks.

Sowing period: mid-October to November

Cultural recommendations:

Soil preparation: superficial tillage, fine soil on the surface
Optimal sowing depth: 3 cm – roll after sowing
Fertilization: depending on the availability of organic inputs (manure, digestate)
Autumnal requirement: P2 O5 70/80 units/Ha; K2 O 70/80 units/Ha
Spring requirement: N 40/50 units/Ha
