Autumn-sown variety that guarantees high production of highly proteinaceous forage. Compared to common vetch, Villana has high resistance to winter cold. It is a very rustic variety and adapts well even to tendentially acidic soils, unlike other legumes. Its resistance to intensive winter grazing in central-southern Italy is good.
